What we do

Our club focuses on Olympic- style weightlifting, meaning that during training we expect members to be working on improving their snatch and clean and jerk. Our head coach is responsible for designing a program that members can follow, as well as helping members improve their technique. As there are many people training at once, we have student coaches who can also help guide members through the program and provide any assistance. We encourage everyone to participate in competitions throughout the year, whether it is in an in-house competition between members of the club, or in official competitions.

How to join

Memberships must be done online through Regonline. Payments can be made either by credit/debit card as you register through Regonline, or by cash. Cash payments can be handed in during training sessions to our treasurer. If you're unsure as to whether or not you want to join, you are allowed to come to two free sessions before having to pay for membership.

What to bring with you

The only thing that is required is a pair weightlifting shoes. These are required for safety reasons, as well as being beneficial to your ability to lift. Other than that, come to training in appropriate gym wear. Additional things that you could bring with you include chalk, wrist wraps, knee wraps, weightlifting straps, a weightlifting belt, or anything else you believe will improve your lifts.
